If only I had images behind the scenes of my 9-5 desk, meeting, conference room, and fit lounge life.
I took a step back today and saw a fitting from an outside perspective.
Woah, what badass women were in the room!
Fit, fabric, design, and production aficionados mashing our brains together.
Educated in our craft and paying close attention to each and every seam.
And all of this hard work being done really for one purpose; to perfect a garment that makes women feel beautiful and comfortable. Not only in their clothing, but also their skin.
I love my field.
I am happy to say that I am a part of this industry (and the company I work for - yeah, I drank some of the cool-aid. So what?!)
Its an incredible thing to find what field is right for you. Once you do, then work no longer is something you dread waking up for.
An electricity simmers deep in my bones and flutters high in my chest when we discuss the future of the brands I manage.
I'm blessed that I get to see the lifetime of these creations. From conception to creation. Follow each items journey through until its delivered, shot, and put up on the site.
This past weekend I attended my companies’ Coachella festivities in Palm Springs. It was a big deal, dude. Coachella's kind of like our Christmas. I saw influential women looking stunning in pieces I worked on for months. I knew how many heads got together (from across oceans might I add) to make it possible for girls to strut around confidently in the desert.
I had an overwhelming urge to run up to these ladies and explain to them the backstory behind every piece they were wearing so gorgeously! and thank them! It was so fun. AND SO FULFILLING.
Im writing my stream of consciousness right now, but ohhh well. I’m excited.
Excited about now, what's next, and the unknown!
Since I have no images behind the scenes of my day job - here’s some polaroids from the past week.
Thanks!
